The green room

Lit by three small wood windows overlooking both the front garden and the right gable, this room, with its predominantly green and light grey colour scheme, is attractive both for its volume and its harmonious decoration.

It is equipped with a double bed (140 x 190), with a walnut headboard and footboard and canes. The mattress is of good classic quality and has a mattress topper. The custom designed bed facings offer good sitting comfort lending itself to reading and resting.

This room benefits, as does the rest of the house, from a gentle and even warmth provided all year round. It is notably equipped with a wardrobe integrated into the woodwork, a closed fireplace, a study area, a bookcase, bedside tables and chairs including an 18th century dressing table and two Directoire period armchairs.

The curtains, double curtains, bed linen and parquet flooring are made of natural fibres and an oriental woollen carpet is added. Its night lighting is provided by two antique bedside lamps, operated either from the entrance door or separately by each occupant of the bed. The green room communicates directly (or via the landing), with its bathroom.

This bathroom, of high quality and recent construction, is illuminated by a small wood window overlooking the front garden. It comprises a suspended cabinet with drawers, topped by a large ceramic washbasin and its mirror, a large bathtub with a protected shower area and a suspended toilet. Its night-time lighting is provided by two light points implanted above the mirror and by a charming little chandelier.
