Patiently renovated by its owner, this old presbytery was built right nearby the very beautiful and richly decorated historical church of Genêts.
The main idea has been to enhance the timeless and profoundly Christian atmosphere of the place.
The interior decoration has been lovingly and carefully elaborated to match the building’s classical, harmonious 18th century architectural design.
Ancient engravings and prints, porcelains, faiences, oil paintings, antique curiosities and period furniture blend with natural toile and linen bed chamber ornamentation to offer highly comfortable, elegant guest accommodations.
Your host smokes his occasional all natural tobacco cigarillo in his ground floor apartments, but the rooms and commons are non-smoking.
On the ground floor, breakfasts are served in an elegantly furnished, refined yet friendly lounge room.
Lots of light flow through two original 18th century tall «small-grid muntin» windows with a view on the front lawn of the park. Two more windows look out on the back yard and the park behind and another one to the side of the property.
The wood panelling, patiently re-built, has been painted in subdued, refined beige hues.
A crystal ceiling chandelier and blazing fire cheer up the room when the weather becomes chilly.
A collection of small antique curiosities are on display in an elegant, lighted glass cabinet.
Wool oriental carpets cover the original parquet floors. Comfortable arm chairs, sofa and seats invite our guests to lounge, also in the afternoon.
